A Product of Advertising?

Pyper just came out of the bathroom, walked over and asked me, "Do you use toiyet wand system?" (You know, the Clorox thing to clean the toilet.) I said "No, do you?" She replied, "No. I know, maybe you can buy one!"
Maybe she watches too much TV! (Either that or I need to clean the toilets again!)

Nope, Not Today Either!!!

Yep, I'm STILL at home. I was really hoping that I could FINALLY leave for Colorado today. But alas, no. I spent the entire day dealing with David's lying insurance agent, who can't admit when he has gotten caught in his deceit. I found this little graphic that pretty much sums up how I feel about his company about now. The only problem is, there are no stairs at his office complex!!

So, if you are ever in the market for an insurance agent, DO NOT go to Quality 1st Insurance in Logan, Utah!!! (Their name is false advertising I think, no "quality" about their service!) The best part is, the insurance company that our policy is through found me a new agent because of how badly he treated me today. I really think that his lies bit him in the butt, he lost a $5,000 insurance policy, and I saved $500 because of it!!

Since we didn't get to leave again today, to console ourselves, the gals and I went to Big J's for dinner. They got punching balloons in their kids meals. Those are the greatest toys, I use to love them when I was a kid! They are having a blast with them! Here is a little video of their fun! They were being MUCH funnier before I got the camera out, isn't that the way it goes...(And no, my daughter didn't wear her swimsiuit to dinner, she changed when we got home. She was bound and determined that she was going out to have a "water party" at 9 pm!) I really love how Pyper gets both of her arms going when she punches her balloon. I wondered if she was going to fly away!!

Unicorns?!?!

Today we were supposed to go to Colorado to meet up with David, Hannah, and Seth. (Well, actually we were supposed to go with them last week, but someone decided to bail out of a tree...) After a VERY long road trip, and we didn't even leave Logan, we decided to call it a day and try once again to leave in the morning--we have only been trying to leave since Friday, and something has always come up to make us wait one more day! Tomorrow is the day NO MATTER WHAT!!!!

We came home and were all a bit crabby and hot. I put the girls in the tub because nice bath always works wonders for them! Imagine my surprise when I found that my cute little girls were actually, in fact, UNICORNS IN DISGUISE!! I even got pictures to prove it! They are silly!!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Just wanted to tell my dad Happy Birthday, and I love you very much! I hope you have a great day!!

Here is a picture for you all to giggle about...I sure did! It is from my Daddy Daughter Date in my college days in good ol' 1993. I had a TON of fun on this day, I even got my dad to dance with me and that is a real feat!

Another Pyper Funny

Last night I was pulling the garbage can out to the road. I went out the door and Pyper yells, "Mom, wait for me! I need to get my shoes on!" I told her that I wasn't going to be gone that long and she could just come out without shoes on. She replied, "Oh, I can just walk on my feets?"

Then today she was walking around the house with this silly smirk and my shoes on. I asked what she was doing and she replied, "Oh, nahsing. Can I just walk on you shoes?" She is a funny kid!

*Ok Loopy, That's 2 more!

Because Laura caught up to me...

...I have to post again. The trouble is, my life has been boring lately!

I was having this "unofficial" competition with Loopy to see who posted more. The reason it was unofficial was because she didn't know about it. Until the other day. I told. Now she has as many posts as me and I have NOTHING to write about!

I guess I could tell you the I HATE going to bed! Yep, look at the time on this post--2 am!! I love it when my house is quiet! I can watch TV that DOES NOT involve cartoons! (I love DVR!) I can read without interruptions. I can sit without the dog in my lap.

I also don't have to share my chocolate with anyone!!

A Foot Update

Well, we had Bug's podiatrist appointment this morning, and got some good news! He said that he didn't think that the growth plate was broken but just had "major trauma." (I also am suffering from "major trauma", I HATE it when one of my kidlets is hurt and I can't fix it! I'm the Mom, I am supposed to fix everything!) Those ER docs sure seem to always make a big deal out of everything. But I guess I would want it that way if it had been serious! Better safe than sorry. She still has to use her crutches for at least 2 more weeks, but can put pressure on it when she walks. He said that it can take as long as a break to heal though, so not to expect it to feel 100% for about 4-6 weeks! WOW! So, now it is a wait and see type of thing, but I am DEFINITELY relieved!

This Child...

...is going to be the death of me!

I am serious! I spent most of the night last night in the emergency room. She was climbing trees last night at the park, bailed out (in high-heeled sandals!!), and twisted her foot. She said that she wanted to wait til this morning to go to the Dr. if it still hurt. I put an ice pack on it, doped her up on Motrin, loved her, and she fell asleep at about 10:30. At 2:30 she woke up and said that she needed more medicine cause her foot hurt. I gave her another ice pack to see if it would help--it didn't. So, at 3 am, I loaded her up and we took off for the hospital! 3 xrays, more Motrin, some Tylenol, 1 1/2 hours, and a sheet of stickers later we came home. (Well, first we stopped at Wally World cause I was out of kids Tylenol--you should see the looks you get while pushing a six year old, in pajamas, with crutches, around WalMart at 4:30 am in a wheelchair! I was pretty sure that all 4 people in the store are sure I am the most evil parent! Come on people, she had on a hospital bracelet!!!)

The verdict--They couldn't see a break, but "usually when kids complain of foot pain, a bone is broken." But, there just happens to be a growth plate where she says it hurts and the ER Dr said it could be broken and he wouldn't know. YAY!! We get to go to see a podiatrist in the morning. Now she has crutches (which she thinks is AWESOME), an ace bandage, a boot, and can't put any pressure on it! Have you ever tried to make my Bug sit still? Tomorrow morning can't get here fast enough!!

Hannah Has Caught The Blogging Bug!

While we were in Blackfoot, Hannah commandeered my camera and set off to take some photos for me to post to my blog. I actually think that she ended up with some pretty neat ones! She didn't do half bad for not knowing how to work my camera except to push the button!

I would really think this means that I blog too much, except as Loopy says, "Blogging too much would be like Tonya saying there is such a thing as too much chocolate." And THAT will never happen!!!

Fun at the Fair

We went to Blackfoot with David this past weekend. It was a lot of fun. We got some new rides that the kids were DYING to try out! Seth, Hannah, and Bugga rode the Scrambler, and loved it. So, Pyper had to try as well, she hates to be left out. Bug and I rode with her. She liked it until it started to go full speed, then she wasn't so sure anymore! We just tried to keep her entertained until it was over! *note to self--take Pyper on rides AFTER HOURS, when she won't have to ride the full time!!*

Here is a picture of the kids riding the first of MANY times!

They even got their Dad to ride with them, but I was stuck in the ticket booth selling tickets and my camera was in the car. Bummer!

This is what Pypie does ALL DAY LONG while we are there...

I also missed another funny photo op later that night. We just barely got a Roll-O-Plane (it got here on Tuesday, and the Fair started on Friday!). It is really old and hadn't been used for about 3 years so it needed a bunch of help. It has a lot of potential--it has a neat look to it, and they STILL make parts for it (it was made in 1949!). But, since we didn't have a lot of time, it didn't have all the bugs worked out of it yet. It was set up, but not running. On Saturday night, the maintenance guy finally got all the kinks worked out--AND IT RAN!! Seth had been begging to ride it since last week when he found out that Grandpa Gordon was on the way here with it. So, after sending a couple of the workers on it to make sure it was safe for my kids (you can maim a worker, but not my kid), Seth got to ride. Crazy (the maintenance guy) asked who was next, and Seth ran over. Then much to every ones surprise, so did Bugga! Pyper wanted to ride too, but I couldn't handle that one! Well, to make an already long story short, Bug made it about half way around the 34 foot tall ride when she realized what she was in for and freaked. Her eyes were bulging out of her head, and she started screaming "I WANT OFF! I AM DONE!" She had to make the other half of the revolution to get down, and her heart was just pounding when she got off. I guess it was a good thing that she got to ride at her dad's carnival where she could get off if she wanted! I would have hated to see what would have happened if she had to ride the whole ride!

Needless to say, Seth is a maniac, and loved every second that he was on the Roll-O-Plane. He can't wait until he gets to ride it again(and again, and again...)!

To All The Men I've Loved Before...

**So, this was SUPPOSED to publish by itself yesterday. But, as with all things technology and Tonya--It didn't. Well, at least know that my heart was in the right place!**

I wanted to wish all the guys a Happy Fathers Day! I am even on time with this one, YAY! I hope that you all have had a wonderful, relaxing day filled with all of your favorite things!

Happy Father's Day!

There have been some pretty big shoes to fill in the way of fathers in my life, and it's not just because they all have big feet!!

My Dad always found the time to take us on a vacation every year. It is important to him to make sure we have that time together as a family, to enjoy each other and get to know one another better. We went all sorts of fun places--camping at Willow Flats (IN A TENT!!), City of the Rocks, scout camp (Jeremy and Buzz and I built an AWESOME raft one year!), and most recently to Saint George. He isn't a very openly emotional guy, but I always know that he loves me and will be there for me if I ever need it.

My Father-in-law has always made me feel welcome and loved from the first moment I started to date my hubby (which has been a LONG time ago!). He always has a kiss and a squeeze for me, and makes sure I know how much he loves my family.

And then there is my FABULOUS husband! **sappiness coming-be aware** I am so grateful that I was able to be sealed to him for all eternity. He is truly my best friend. He is a wonderful father, and always helps me to see the important things in my kids. Sometimes as a mom it is easy to forget what great kids I have, he reminds me. He makes me feel as if I am the most beautiful and interesting person in the world, even if I still have on my jammies and my hair is crazy!

There are so many more men that I could tell about. Grandpas, brothers, and friends who are all equally as great. But, I don't want this post to take the whole page! Just know that it warms my heart to see you with your children and grandchildren, and each of you has taught me something different! I love you all!

Maybe I blog too much...

...when Hannah comes and asks me to blog her "perfect ice cream sundae"...
Being the wonderful mom that I am, here is the masterpiece!

Dentist Appointment

Pyper had her very first dentist visit today. I really love our dentist, he does such a great job with my kids, and always seems to alleviate MOM'S fears as well! (I hate to watch my kids have that sort of thing done!) The assistants all had to come and see her cute hair, and tell her how much they loved her outfit. She, of course, thought this was the BEST!! She is a hambone who just loves attention--especially when someone is telling her she is cute! Here are some photos of her visit...

Here is Pyper outside the dentist office!

Playing in the little cubby while we waited.

Sitting in the "big" chair with Icky the frog who came along so she wasn't "carwed." Mom got to sit in the little chair, she thought that was funny!

Brushing with Dr. Larsen an her new princess toothbrush. She even got a new ring and an apple! (She chose that over a cookie. Yep, a cookie from the dentist, I think it is job security for them to hand out cookies!)

Isn't it amazing...

...what can happen when you read the owners manual, set the camera at the correct setting, and drink less caffeine?

*I really like the one of the vine and the one of the tulip. They are my faves!

I need a tripod!

I have these really pretty flowers in my front yard. They are pretty unique, so I decided to see if I could get a picture of them to practice my budding photography skills. Here are the BEST results from my shoot!
Um, this is with the "image stabilization" feature on my camera turned ON! Yep, this has taught me a very important lesson...I NEED A TRIPOD!!! (Or less caffeine, but that is no fun!)

My Hubby is so nice...

He was in Moab a couple of weeks ago, and called to tell me that he had bought me a present at the Art Show he was at. He gave it to me this weekend. It was this fun bracelet that has frogs on it. I LOVE IT!! He always finds me fun, unique, handmade jewelry. It is nice to know that he misses me when he is gone, and hey, what girl doesn't like to get spoiled a little by new jewelry every once in a while?!? Thanks David, I really do love it! (Oh, I love you also!!)

Our Road Trip...

We had a great time in Nevada at the Art Show. We made it to Wendover on Friday, and stayed at the Super 8. I let them jump on the beds, we ordered pizza, and had a cartoon party.

We took off the next morning and made it to Minden which is just outside of Carson City. The kids had a fun weekend playing in the water and on the inflatables. (I left my camera at the hotel, so I didn't get any pics of that, sorry!) It was warm and sunny all weekend, but not too hot yet!

We had to stop on the way home so that Hannah could write her name with rocks on the side of the road, she had been begging us the entire trip--BOTH WAYS! So, if you want to see their names, they are at the rest stop on I-80 that is just past the turn off for the Bonneville speedway! (Or you could just look at the photos!) I got the "Good Mom Of The Year" award because I stood out in the rain while I waited for Hannah to finish her HUGE name so I could take a photo!

We all had a fun trip, it was great to be with our Dad, and our butts all survived--we had to be jackhammered off our seats though!

Seth's Last Soccer Game

This was Seth's last soccer game. It was the only one that they lost 3-2. I was hoping that they would just call the game early, it was SO cold and rainy! Grandma Charlene, Lyra, Pyper, and I braved the elements and cheered him on! He did an awesome job--he has some sweet soccer skills!

Street Program

Ok, today is a HUGE posting catch up day! I don't want to hear from the peanut gallery that they don't have anything new to read for a few days!!

On the 20th of May, the kidlets had their school program. Every year they do a program in the street in front of the school where they sing songs and do dances that they have learned that year. After consulting my children, I can tell you all the songs they sang! Bugga's class sang the "Hula Hoop Hokey Pokey," Seth sang "Rubber Ducky" and danced the Hustle, and Hannah (not happily might I add) sang "Eight Days A Week' and danced the Jitterbug. I thought they did a good job,it was fun to watch them!
