My family (I heard it was all my parents idea) and friends surprised me with a birthday party for my 40th birthday. (Don't get used to me telling how old I am, I've been 29 for years now!) I think it was payback for my mom's 60th surprise party and the banner that said "Lordy, Lordy look who's 40!" that I made when my dad turned 40. I'm pleased to say that I did not rip my banner down and storm out for the rest of the day like my dad did. I was a much better sport! It was fun to have many of the people that I care about there. We had some delicious food (my brothers never disappoint with their pulled pork!), yummy cake (Thanks Emily!), and a great time laughing and visiting. I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday! Thanks for making it so special!
