Super Unicorns

I was cleaning out my Primary bag this morning, and found the illustration for this post. It actually happened about a month ago. (Yeah, my bag REALLY needed to be cleaned out!)

I wish I could say this was just the kids doing, but Dad gave them a bunch of help...and we all had the giggles pretty badly!

Pyper's art

Pyper loves to draw pictures. In fact, there are so many pictures on the fridge that you can't close the door without at least one falling off. She makes it her personal mission to keep me stocked with priceless works of art.

Tonight she gave me this drawing,
and then offered me this explanation..."It is you and Dad on your Marriage Day, that's why there are hearts all over it, cause you love each other. And do you see your short hair and your pretty bow? And Dad has a hat on, cause he always wears a hat. But those lines right there (the ones coming out of our mouths), those aren't tongues, those are just kisses."

I laughed pretty hard!

Gratuitous Easter Clothes Pictures

We hope you had a wonderful Easter, we sure did. It was nice to celebrate The Resurrection and have a reminder what our Savior did for all of us.

Pyper said it was too bright outside for her eyes to open.

I made my girl's dresses and am so happy with the way they turned out. I love it when projects turn out the way you saw them in your head!

We went and bought Seth's shoes and clothes last night. (How's THAT for procrastination?) He's had a bit of a growth spurt lately, so I took him with me to make sure we got the right sizes. I wasn't sure what size of shoes he wears now, so I had them measure him. My 11 year old boy child wears a men's size 12 shoe. I about passed out right then!

Evona

Evona is such a good sport! She puts up with being dressed up, and she endures photo sessions quite well...

But don't worry, Hannah always makes sure she is ready for her photoshoots by painting her toenails!
I'm not sure who enjoys it more, Hannah or Evona! She's pretty spoiled! (Have you ever met a dog who likes foot massages? And yes, she's asleep while getting her nails painted!)

I really just had to share these pictures cause they make me smile!

Chrysanthemum

Today, Pyper's class is celebrating "becoming readers". They get to dress up as a character from their favorite book. Pyper's favorite book of the moment is called Chrysanthemum by Kevin Henkes. It's the cutest story of a little mouse with an unusual name. Our copy is about worn out, it has been taped many times! It only seemed fitting for her to dress up as a little mouse!

And just because most of the pictures look all sweet and innocent, I'd like to show you what I get most of the time when we take pictures...

Dew Tour 2011

Since most of the people in this household are snow lovers, we decided to go to the Winter Dew tour at Snowbasin. Last year we went to Park City and got to watch the Snowboard Grand Prix (the qualifying for the winter Olympics). We stayed at a hotel, swam, skied and boarded, and just had a great time!

The highlight for Seth and Hannah was meeting Louie Vito!

Lyra also makes one amazing ski jumper!

Pyper's lost tooth

It FINALLY happened! After years of waiting, Pyper lost her first tooth! She was so excited to find a wiggly tooth. She wiggled it and wiggled it. Two days later she had it loose enough to come out! The Tooth Fairy left her $5 (talk about inflation, I remember getting a quarter and thinking I was rich!). I think her new smile is perfect!
