Crazy Hair--take #2

So, today was crazy hair day at school, for real this time! Bug had to have hers the same way, but Seth was adventurous and let me put little "knobs" all over his head! That kid is a crackup. He said they were his "controllers". Anyway, here is a new picture of crazy hair day!

And since I can't get the camera out without taking Pyper's picture...(Cami, I think she may be as bad as Bryli! Only she yells "Cheese and fuzzy pickles!")

Don't ask what is up with the face, I really have no clue. But do you like her inside-out shirt? Yep, she dressed herself today, good thing we have no plans to go anywhere!

Not Again!

It seems like every time I turn around, she just gets bigger and bigger. I honestly am TRYING to be all right with it, but to tell the truth I'm having a rough time. I just don't know if I'm ready for her to grow up! I put on a brave face and suck it up though, I'm afraid it happens if I want it to or not!
She went to her first Stake Dance tonight. We curled and sprayed and poufed and ribboned, and this is how she looked. She is so beautiful she just takes my breath away. I hope she has fun! I also hope that one day soon I will be able to let her go without wanting to follow her and make sure that she is OK. I am NOT ready for this!!

Sick Day

As usual on Saturday, we were all going to Beaver Mountain to go skiing. Pyper was really excited to get to go skiing, she and I stayed home last weekend.

But alas, my Buggy started in with a terrible cough and fever last night and I decided it was probably better if she wasn't out in the cold all day. (Last year she went skiing with strep throat. She didn't fess up that it was sore til the way home! I felt like a #1 parent THAT day!)

She loves to ski and was disappointed that she couldn't go. So she played the computer, and the 360, and had a nap in my bed. Since she loves to cook, we also decided to make some Red Velvet Cake Balls. They were so yummy. She did most of it all by herself! I helped her measure the water and oil, she cracked the eggs, and mixed, and dumped it in the pan, which she had greased and floured.

This is what they looked like when they were finished. I would invite you over for some, but we ate them--ALL! They were THAT good! We can't decide which we like better. These or Oreo Truffles.

We had a fun day, just the two of us. I don't get to spend time alone with her very often, so I really love it when I do! She is such a unique little individual with such a big personality! Thanks for the fun day Bug!

Blue And Gold and other randomness

Last night was the Blue and Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts. We had a baked potato bar. I had to make chili and since I had no beans, Pyper and I had to go shopping. We did a whole mound of grocery shopping (if I was going to the grocery store, you can bet I will not be seen there again for awhile! I HATE GROCERY SHOPPING!) I really wore her out, this is what she looked like about 10 minutes after we got home...

Then we went to the banquet. It was lots of fun with yummy food. Seth got two belt loops, he was pretty proud!

We also had brownies for dessert. Pyper REALLY enjoyed hers.
Then Today was supposed to be "crazy hair day" at school for Seth and Bugga. We worked and worked and came up with this...

They were both excited for their crazy hair...until Bug returned crying her eyes out cause "crazy hair day" had been changed to the 27th. Poor kid! We cut all the elastics out, put in a headband, and sent her back on her way-fifteen minutes late of course! Apparently, I missed THAT memo! OOPS! I hope she isn't scarred for life now. Seth just went in the bathroom at school and took his out!

It's happened...

...my 12 year old daughter is now taller than me. *sniff*
